Senior Engineer

Harvest Technical Services is searching for a Sr. Engineer for a major biopharmaceutical company in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Summary of Duties:

Provide Electrical Engineering services for capital project design and construction as directed by our client’s project management staff, including:

  • Coordination of electrical engineering design activities.
  • Attendance at project and vendor meetings.
  • Preparation of Bid Packages and Purchase Orders for miscellaneous electrical equipment as required, including specification and document preparation, bid evaluation and recommendation, and vendor drawing/document approval.
  • Review/Approval of milestone design package submittals (drawings, BOD, specifications, calculations and documents).
  • Project construction team support, including site walks, RFI responses, punchlist generation/follow-up, etc.
  • Application submittals for utility service provider electric and gas services, including all supporting multi-discipline drawings and data.
  • Assurance that electrical design and construction aspects of our client's capital projects are consistent with the project specifications and industry standards.

Skills

  • Knowledge of the different design and construction requirements associated with industrial power systems, emergency power and UPS systems.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and regulations Strong communication, collaboration, teamwork and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to accommodate significant travel as business needs require.

Education

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the design and construction of medium to large scale manufacturing, laboratory and/or office facilities; ideally, with some in the GMP pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

Cost Engineer

Harvest Technical Services is searching for a Cost Engineer (Special Project Facilities Capital) for a major biopharmaceutical company in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Summary of Duties:

Junior Cost Engineer supporting Project Controls Engineer with detailed project accounting service in accordance with procedures. Our client utilizes SAP for Corporate financial/accounting.   The responsibility includes invoice review for accuracy and to identify possible cost savings and close-out, benchmarking of final project costs. This role also includes coordination with Vendor Finance, Procurement and Project Managers along with Project Controls Group. Perform other Project Controls duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of building construction, some general PM and Estimating experience would be an advantage.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills are required.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite programs.
  • Knowledge of Unifier software and SAP is desirable.

Education:

Candidate should have 2+ years of project controls experience in the Construction Industry Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, building construction or similar is required or applicable experience.

Automation Engineer

Harvest Technical Services is seeking an Automation Engineer for a major biopharmaceutical company in the greater Solano County/Sacramento Area.

Scope of Work

  • Provide day to day automation support in Utilities Frontline Group - Provide troubleshooting support for systems such as PLCs/VSCs/UCS/BAS as issues arise
  • Provide automation engineering support for the following projects - Pulmozyme EFU: Triton Collection System and Waste Lift Station - IT3/IT2 Decommissioning activities -  RO Skid X-985 Modification and re-commissioning
  • Assist automation engineers with implementing users requests.
  • Provide off-shift on call support or vacation coverage as necessary - On Call Duty will be required to cover for engineers that are off-site (vacation coverage, team off-sites, etc.)
  • Performance of PLC and BAS configuration and programming work is expected.
  • Generation and Execution of Automation Implementation Plan (AIP) and Tests
  • Follow OSHA Safety Guidelines and GMP Procedures and other client procedures as required
  • Update Documents including functional specifications, software design description, wiring diagrams, P&ID, etc.
  • Meet with team members and other departments
  • Coordinate work with the rest of the Automation Engineer

Education:


Bachelors Degree - Preferably Engineering background
